30 Day Challenge - Days 20-30+3

The 30 day challenge ended last Friday, so how far did I get?

Well as you can see from the above picture, pretty much finished, in extra time...again I didn't get around to taking a picture every day for the last stretch, and for the final week I was doing 'overtime' to get them done by the 30 day deadline...
Day 22 - touching up the detail, having done the main colours I start to go over where I sloshed over one colour to other areas

Day 24 - Painting the mons on the sashimono back banners, I want to keep my samurai fairly generic so chose a mon for the 'yellow' clan that was used for several less well known clans, similarly for the 'white' clan, the sashimono are simply generic black and white stripes with   a non-specific mon on the larger nobori banners. Still have to start on those guns...

Day 30 - Painting complete. I have given them a light wash of watered down black paint and a light dry brush to highlight some of the detail plus painted the bases. They are all ready for basing.

Day 30 +3 and they have all been based over the weekend and spray painted with varnish.

Another view of the whole force. I accidentally picked up 2mm static grass instead of 1mm for all except the artillery, so they look as if they are wading through slightly heavier vegetation than usual for my 6mm figures
Closer view of the Heroics and Ros Medieval artillery, making ideal small field guns, with Baccus figures

Close up of the Samurai. I chose predominantly 'charging' versions of the Baccus figures to make it easier to distinguish them from the yari armed Ashigaru

Close up of the 'white' clan Samurai, you should just be able to make out a General with accompanying mounted messenger.

'Teppo' musket and bow armed Ashigaru

Ashigaru with Yari polearms. I mixed the tunic and breech colours, but to be honest it doesn't really show up so I might not bother again

Mounted Samurai with foot retainers running to keep up

So with the extra time spent in the last week this represents about 30 hours work in total.
