The weather was dry and bright, the sun came out and lured me into the garden. I played out there till three in the afternoon – I called it a day when my feet started to get cold. I began attacking another Viburnam bush that had outgrown its space and was beginning to smother a more beautiful climbing rose. They are such thugs, I planted them for wind breaks originally, but am now beginning to regret that decision. You can see how much space it was taking up in the foreground of the picture.
It felt good to be working outdoors – gardening usually takes a back seat at this time of year and I felt a bit out of practice, but give me a pair of secateurs and some loppers and I can quite easily lose myself in the shrubbery for a few hours – I am a tired, but happy, bunny.
