This product is available in three shades: black brown, black and very black. Thanks again to
Victoria for
this surprise :)
The rubber bristles make lash separation and definition very easy; but once product starts to accumulate on the wand clumping happens. I think the "
corner-to-corner volume" claim is made possible due to the taper of the bristles. The wand size is even adequate for lower lash line application. That was my preferred use for this mascara.
The outer packaging says "
unique lash styler twirl as you apply"...while the bristles aren't constructed in the standard format, you should 'twirl' any mascara as you're applying to have maximum deposit of product.
In standard CoverGirl fashion, their 'very black' formulas are very pigmented and a medium (read: neither wet nor dry) texture. That also means it takes a bit more effort to totally get it off. While it "
removes easily with soap and water", I've found solely using that method always leaves remnants in my eyes.
Imagine waking up the next morning with dry crusted mascara piled up in your tear ducts. TMI? oh...ok. I experienced no flaking or smudging whilst trying this product.
If you're in the practise of wiping excess mascara off before you apply, this is a product you could love from start to finish. If you don't - while the stopper in the tube does remove some product - after a few uses I wouldn't suggest going past two coats/layers.
iMart seemed to have dashed away CoverGirl products so it doesn't seem like this is something you'd find locally. International readers, the price varies but the average is $7.49
USD, as always there's usually some coupon or BOGO offer.
This one is going to come down to personal preference but I'd recommend it even if it's just for the lower lashes.
