Usually this mat goes down in front of the front door in September. But as I told a friend the other day, when you are retired you tend to think that you have all kinds of time to get things done! Needless to say, the mat went down today! And we had our first fire in the woodstove after dinner this evening. The wind is blowing and we are supposed to wake up to temps in the 30s tomorrow morning. I guess it's safe to say that fall has arrived. We've had such a beautiful, warm fall that we really can't complain... although, I am a little bit worried that we are going to pay for this gorgeous weather sometime down the road... maybe in December or January!
